Set up a google docs account and learn how to share your documents. You will use your google documents account to write documents, spreadsheets, power point presentations and PDF’s. Due to the number of computer viruses, etc. this is the best way to get your documents to me. Documents that are submitted via Blackboard that do not open will receive a grade of zero or F. Submit the assignment on or before the deadline in your course calendar.
Instructions
Formatting Text and Numbers (word-processing)
Using your gmail account create a google docs account and SHARE with me at sowk300@gmail.com the document that you create.
Download from the course website EXERCISE #1B (you will find this link in Blackboard and your textbook ) or see the following page – the document that you are to retype and submit.

Create a google document and retype the document exactly as it appears and share it with me.
Name the document
Share the document with me at sowk300@gmail.com
Submit on or before the date posted on the course calendar.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to create professional-looking tables because most of the Assignments in this course require you to present quantitative data in table format.

I was interested in this assignment because i do like to share my work with other. I learn how to use google docs,and the technology was not easy to use. It was clear about what i needed to do, but still hard, although i was able to catch on once I kept looking at the videos,I like most when i figured it out and was able to do it. I didnt like doing the graph
ReplyDeleteFor the most part after watchiing the two instruction videos this assignment was fairly simple.I was completly intrigued with learning a new way to share my documents and files without having so many unecessary emails being sent back and forth. I can completly see me using this tool for more than just turning in my assignments for this class.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this assignment because it helped me to share documents in a safe and secure environment without the fear of catching a virus. I like the fact that I can use this tool not only for this class but for my other classes and for my own personal use. It's also a easy way to store all my documents without walking around with a flashdrive that could get easily lost.

ReplyDeleteThe videos were very helpful. I had no problems with the assignment. A Google doc is a good thing to have because it is just one copy of the doc that is worked on not several of the same. Very helpful for my technology future.

ReplyDeleteThis assignment was a little confusing when trying to format the table and the document. I found it helpful to change the way in which I was viewing the document. The technology is easy to understand at this point and seems to be very helpful in the college and document sharing setting.

ReplyDeleteI hope everyone notes that the reason for completing HW 2 is that you will have a reliable way to save, write and submit your classwork without viruses and other issues causing you problems. Students can even use their GOOGLE DOCS account for their other classes! It's great and a lifesaver if you ever lose your jump drive or your computer crashes, then that way you will not lose your work.
ReplyDeleteThe videos were very helpful, it was very informative by giving different ways that google docs can make things much more simple and very useful.
ReplyDeleteI think that the google docs will be a great way for me to connect with my friends who I trust to edit my writings. It will be easier for me to send them my first copy and for them to revise it and send it back. Last semester, I had tons of emails that my friends sent back. After downloading the doc, I would save what they sent. I wasn't aware or I didn't think about the chances that I could have goten a virus from the transfer. I have to get my friends on this new way to trade information!

ReplyDeletethis assignment wasn't hard at all because i already had an account with one of my other teachers, but one thing about it was i didn't know you could do so much with a google account . you really get fascinated learning new things you thought you knew all about .

ReplyDeleteThis assignment was a little difficult, but it was not anything that I could not handle. I like Google Docs because it is another way to get things to many teachers way ahead of the deadline without any excuse. Tuskegee's technology is not reliable on this campus so it is always helpful to learn something that can help you get things to your teachers faster.
